This optional baseplate kit is available for the purpose of adding more stability. There is already an optional residue-free, non-marring adhesive stabilizing pad at the bottom of the base, which, if the cover tab is removed, can help to secure the light to a surface.

Some customers prefer more stability. Therefore, we have made a matching baseplate available for each Brooklyn LED Task Light model.

The baseplate is useful if the light is placed in a high-trafficked area of a room, particularly a space frequented by pets or children.

We cannot guarantee that the light will not tip or fall over. However; the baseplate does mitigate the possibility.
