The optional base plate kit (light not included) adds stability to our Brooklyn LED Task Lights. Easy to attach with a provided screw, it's not required to buy either light, but helps if the light is in a busy area or if children or pets are around. It won't guarantee the light won't topple, but reduces the chance, especially if no sticky pad is used at the bottom.
