Our bestselling LUX® Brooklyn Task Lamp comes in the Aura model, which features a Qi-certified wireless fast-charging pad, along with other cool features. Simply place your compatible smartphone on the charging pad, and watch it charge! But what does it mean that it's Qi-certified?
Qi-certified wireless charging products deliver a safe and reliable wireless charging experience. Products marked as Qi-certified have passed rigorous, independent laboratory tests for safety, interoperability and energy efficiency. Alternative claims like “Qi-compliant,” “Qi-compatible” or “Works with Qi,” suggests a product has not undergone proper Qi certification testing.
SEAMLESS COMPATIBILITY
Qi certification ensures that devices (the power receivers) and chargers (the power transmitters) always work together for simple and easy charging.
- Every Qi-certified device and charger works together, including products from multiple manufacturers – even products using earlier versions of the Qi standard.
- Every Qi-certified car charger will not interfere with other car electronics (wireless key fob, navigation systems, etc.).
- Every Qi-certified product is easy and intuitive to use.
RECOGNIZING A QI-CERTIFIED PRODUCT - LOOK FOR THE QI LOGO
The Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) is the standards organization responsible for developing and managing the Qi standard. Only Qi-certified products can legally use the Qi logo, below.
Although a Qi logo isn’t a guarantee of certification (many products attempt to use the logo illegally), the absence of the logo suggests the product is not certified.
While the Brooklyn Task Lamp is the only model we currently offer with Qi-certified wireless charging, all of our task and desk lamps include 2 USB ports in the base to charge multiple devices. The AC model of the Brooklyn Task Lamp and Brooklyn Desk Lamp also includes international AC power outlets in the base to charge almost anything! Shop all task and desk lamps here.
